Our Lovely Asian Daughter (Coming Soon)
Meet Hien Vu (Christina Maithy Ngo (“Torn”)), a young Asian woman living in Arizona with her father Minh (Ron Tang) and mother Trang (Chu Kim Oanh). Hien is a typical American girl who likes to hang out with her friends, while hoping one day to meet that special someone. Unlike her acquaintances, she is straddled between two worlds, the openness of America and the restrictive traditional values of her birth country.
Trang has decided that it is time her daughter gets married. Like her mother before her she has prepared a pre-arranged marriage for her daughter but Hien refuses the arrangement. Trang continues the search for a suitably rich husband for her daughter. In response to this, Hien asks her gay co-worker, Mark (Elias Castillo (“Death Row”, “Machined”, “Law of Deception")), to pretend to be her wealthy boyfriend.
Trang disapproves of Mark because he is not Asian. In response, she continues on her hunt to find an Asian man for Hien. So annoyed by her mother's actions, Hien decides to raise the stakes at any cost, even if it means faking a wedding.

The Last Fight
Felipe Gonzalez developed bacterial meningitis and became deaf at age five, a significant moment in his young life that changed everything. His father, overwhelmed and unable to cope with the challenges presented by Felipe’s deafness, made the heartbreaking decision to leave, abandoning both Felipe and his mother. Tragically, just five years later, Felipe’s mother passed away in a car accident, leaving him to navigate a world filled with loss and uncertainty. Fortunately, Lucia and Hector, his father’s parents, stepped in to provide stability, taking custody of Felipe and raising him into adulthood. Growing up was particularly tough for Felipe; neighborhood kids bullied him mercilessly, adding to his struggles by stealing his bicycle and isolating him from the group. It was during these formative years that Hector decided Felipe needed to learn how to defend himself, introducing him to the art of boxing – a sport he had once participated in himself as an amateur before marrying Lucia. At first, Felipe was decidedly against boxing, expressing a reluctance to engage in any physical confrontation. However, over time, he began to realize that boxing not only helped him gain confidence, but it also provided a unique avenue to connect with others. Additionally, Felipe found joy in the sport as he spent countless hours learning about boxing techniques and strategies while watching matches on television with Hector, fostering a bond over shared interests and mutual understanding.
As Felipe grew older, now 55 years old, he found himself working for Luis, who owned a quaint family Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. For the past five years, he has been diligently working as the dishwasher, a task he performed with pride. Over time, he developed a warm rapport with the restaurant staff, finding fulfillment in his routine. Among those who captured his attention was Luis’ niece, Ana, a divorcee in her forties, who became a bright spot in his daily life. Ana, charming and kind-hearted, harbored a secret crush on Felipe, yet both remained too shy to express their feelings, resulting in a delicate dance of unspoken emotions and occasional glances that hinted at something deeper. Felipe had long cherished a dream of stepping into the boxing ring to fight; however, the responsibilities of growing up and caring for his grandparents had always held him back from pursuing that ambition wholeheartedly. One fateful day, while riding his bicycle past a boxing gym, something stirred within him. In a moment of courage, Felipe decided to seize the opportunity and approached the gym owner, Ricky Garcia, a retired professional boxer renowned for his impressive career. Felipe hoped that Ricky would agree to train him in the ring, despite his age and the limitations posed by his deafness. However, Ricky, initially hesitant, declined to train Felipe due to his concerns regarding those very factors. Yet, witnessing Felipe’s fervor and determination as he executed impressive demonstration fights in the ring, Ricky began to recognize the potential within Felipe, realizing he might be capable of thriving in exhibition boxing.
As the next five months unfolded, a rigorous training regimen established itself between Ricky and Felipe. During this time, Ricky not only honed Felipe’s boxing skills but also made efforts to foster a meaningful friendship, bridging the gap through communication as he learned sign language to facilitate their exchanges. Meanwhile, Ana was inspired by Felipe’s dedication and decided to learn sign language as well, hoping that it would impress him and open a pathway for their relationship to flourish. The day finally came when Felipe received exhilarating news; he had earned an opportunity to fight in exhibition boxing bouts in Las Vegas against Bobby Sabano, affectionately known as The Ice Man. Bobby was a formidable opponent, boasting an impressive career that included a staggering 20 knockouts to his name, and as the prospect of the fight loomed ahead, Felipe found himself both excited and anxious, spurred on by dreams of victory and the chance to prove himself in the ring, finally embracing the life he had always wanted.
