With unparalleled dedication, Fang standoffs against the neighborhood hoodlums who threaten the peace and safety of her surroundings, all while fiercely encouraging Sarah's vigilant pursuit of justice during the night. Even at her retired age, Fang manages to not only keep the store thriving amidst challenges but also pours her heart into supporting Sarah's mission.

When Fang is not diligently working at the store, she loves to play her favorite game mahjongg, gathering with her friends for engaging evenings filled with laughter and camaraderie. In her down time, Fang practices tai chi in the quiet of her garden, and she enjoys reading her cherished books.

Teacher Tao

In a particularly heartwarming story, he worked closely with Sarah, a young woman struggling to cope with the profound grief stemming from her parents' tragic death. With his guidance and support, he helped her navigate her way through the darkness of her depression, imparting valuable life lessons as well as martial arts skills. He nurtured her strength and instilled in her a sense of righteousness, ultimately empowering her to rise up and embrace her new identity as the formidable Justice Angel.

In his quest for wisdom and self-improvement, Teacher Tao practices three different types of martial arts: Wu Shu, known for its fluid, graceful movements; Wing Chun, highlighted by its close-range combat techniques; and Tai Chi, revered for its meditative nature and health benefits.

Allen Sims

Moreover, his older sister, Dee, chose to lead a solitary life, maintaining a distance from the family dynamics. Tragically, when Allen was just seven years old, his mother passed away from heart disease, and he subsequently found himself in the care of his mother’s sister. A year later, his aunt, recognizing the need for spiritual guidance, sent him to the temple to immerse himself in the teachings of Buddha.

Allen has a passion for playing soccer and the violin, dedicating any free moments he can find amidst his hectic schedule working for a renowned music magazine. His admiration for Sarah, a girl he has had a crush on since their days as classmates at the temple, fills his thoughts. Allen is willing to go to great lengths to ensure that Sarah is happy.

Dee Sims

With each passing year, Dee becomes increasingly involved in petty theft and drug dealing, getting deeper into a lifestyle that she never envisioned for herself. However, despite the tumultuous path she’s on, Dee always keeps her brother in mind. Dee has become the go-to person for Martin in their neighborhood—a role she takes seriously. Whatever Martin needs or wants, be it advice, protection, or even just companionship, Dee always obliges without hesitation, relying on her group of loyal posse members to back her up in their adventures.

Tragically, Dee's mother passed away when she was just 15, leaving Dee to grapple with her grief and sense of abandonment. This loss was particularly hard for Dee as it became a catalyst for her to run away from home just a year later, feeling as if she had no anchor in her life. The pain of her mother's absence forced her to grow up far too fast in the harsh realities of the hood, where she learned to navigate survival on her own terms.

Martin McLean

His business tactic is to buy everything he desires, conducting affairs on his own terms, often outsmarting his competitors. His mission is not merely business, but a drive to buy out the Chinatown community—a challenging endeavor that he finds rewarding and fulfilling. However, he faces formidable obstacles in the forms of Fang Chang and Justice Angel, who are equally determined to protect their interests and stand in his way. This rivalry promises to add tension and complexity to Martin's ambitious plans.

Martin lives in a magnificent mansion that reflects his success and status. The opulent mansion is filled with luxurious amenities, and although he can afford a professional chauffeur, he prefers driving his sleek Mercedes.

Xiaoying

Xiaoying (pronounced Shao-ying) was born in ancient China, a time when the landscape was dotted with flourishing villages and vibrant markets. Her parents were humble farmers, tending to their land with love and care for the Emperor Zixin. At the tender age of 8, tragedy struck when her parents were framed by a jealous farmer who harbored deep resentment towards them. Bitterness turned into deceit, and they were unjustly executed by the Emperor’s harsh decree. Xiaoying has always believed in her parents’ innocence. She resolves to leave her small town, embarking on a perilous quest to find the man who was involved in framing her parents. However, when their paths finally cross, she discovers a man oblivious to the truth of his entanglement in her family’s downfall. In a twist of fate, he becomes her mentor, teaching her the ancient art of martial arts, not just for self-defense, but to equip her to avenge the wrongful suffering that led to her parents' demise.

After the tragic death of Xiaoying's parents, she was taken in by a family of farmers who offered her shelter and warmth when she needed it most. Although she embraced the life of a farmer, much like her beloved parents, in her heart, Xiaoying vowed to clear their name and sought out justice that felt elusive.

Brenda was born in Brooklyn, New York. She and her brother, John are very close since their parents died in a car accident several years ago. This tragic event significantly impacted their lives, shaping them into the resilient individuals they are today. She works at Chang's grocery store when she was 17 years old to help her living condition with John. Brenda had to mature quickly, taking on responsibilities that most teenagers in her neighborhood might not have to face at such a young age. Her work ethic was commendable, and she learned the value of hard work early on. Brenda met her dropped out boyfriend, Tony in high school. They were together until Tony starts to physically abused her and she broke off their relationship, which was a daunting experience for her. However, she emerged stronger, learning the importance of self-respect and independence in the process.

On her time off, Brenda likes to read novels and plays her guitar that she learned when she was 8 years old. Music has always been her refuge, a way to express her emotions and escape from her problems.

Tony

Tony was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in a broken household, which was a stark contrast to the bustling streets outside. His father, a man who once had aspirations, ended up in prison for theft, leaving a void in Tony's life. His mother worked long hours at multiple jobs just to make ends meet, trying to support him with every ounce of strength she had. Feeling lonely and without guidance, Tony fell into the wrong crowd, friends who encouraged him to make poor choices that ultimately led him to drop out of high school. This group introduced him to a world of selling illegal substances, a path fraught with danger and moral dilemmas. He was in a tumultuous relationship with Brenda, a girl who brought a flicker of joy in his otherwise turbulent life. However, that flicker dimmed when he started to physically abuse her, causing her to break up with him in a moment of self-preservation.

Tony is inherently selfish, driven by his desires and often unable to see the impact of his actions on others. He seizes any opportunity that he sees fit, often at the expense of those around him, missing the bigger picture and the chance for redemption.

Burian

As time passed, Burian proved himself invaluable to the organization, and in a surprising turn of events, the leader decided to hand over the reins of the entire organization to Burian, entrusting him with the legacy of their operations. In a strategic alliance, Burian married the leader's daughter, Tatyana, and together they welcomed a charming nine-year-old son named Dimitri.

In the pursuit of expanding his influence and reaching new heights within the criminal underbelly, Burian skillfully expanded his organization into New York City, all while adopting a legitimate disguise that allowed him to navigate the complexities of his dual life. With his family, he relocated to Staten Island. However, ten years later, the law finally caught up with Burian when the diligent police unearthed the activities of his posse members. Their investigation culminated in a significant operation that led to Burian’s arrest and a subsequent prison sentence of ten long years. Yet, unbeknownst to the authorities who thought they had dismantled the operation, Tatyana took it upon herself to continue the organization’s activities in secret, skillfully wielding her influence and resources to keep the legacy alive and protect their family’s future while Burian served his time.

Nadia

After Nadia's mother tragically passed away from cancer, her father, perhaps in his own misguided attempt to keep her close, taught her the deadly skills he mastered, which ultimately led to her becoming the youngest assassin in the organization at the tender age of 16. Nadia practices firearms with martial arts, an unusual combination that makes her skills not just deadly but extraordinarily swift and punctual, giving her a unique edge in the field.

At 18, Burian recognized Nadia's potential and hired her as a full-time assassin on his organization’s payroll, integrating her into the very fabric of their operations. Initially, she moved to Staten Island, seeking a nearby sanctuary to Burian’s lavish residence, where she could remain undetected while also being close enough to him to receive assignments quickly. While she prefers to work alone, relying on her own capabilities and instincts, she occasionally has a small group of goons, whom she considers rather expendable, following her orders in each criminal assignment.

Princess Juan

Princess Juan (pronounced Ch-wen) was born in ancient China, a time steeped in rich traditions and cultural legacies. She is the beloved daughter of a highly esteemed Emperor's advisor, known for his wisdom and influence in the empire. At the tender age of 8, she was arranged to marry the Emperor's eldest son, Prince Chen, who is two years her senior and comes from a long line of royal lineage. Growing up in the palace, Juan was instilled with values of discipline and grace, showing deep affection towards her family, loyal friends, and the subjects of her future kingdom. Her nurturing nature and strong sense of responsibility were evident even in her youth.

Knowing that one day Juan would ascend to become the country's cherished princess, she devoted herself to rigorous preparation for her royal duties. At the age of 21, her dreams came to fruition as she officially became the princess, stepping into her role with both excitement and trepidation. However, within just a few months after the wedding, Prince Chen revealed his true colors, manifesting traits of a philanderer that left her in utter disbelief. His reckless actions not only embarrassed the young princess but also shattered her heart, leading her to feel a deep sense of betrayal, as she once held profound love and respect for him. This reality forced Princess Juan to confront her situation, turning her pain into a resolve to uphold her dignity and find her own path in a challenging new world.
